God is the almighty. he is the one to whom we tell our prayers. in his presence are all things good . When we are sad we like to talk to good personally. we all have personal prayers , family prayers. i always say a personal prayer in the morning , even if ido not say my family prayer. saying prayers keeps us in relation with God.
